Gulf Education and Training Exhibition (GETEX) 2020 postponed to protect public health and safety

UAE, March 17th, 2020 – In line with the UAE government’s efforts to implement precautionary measures aimed at ensuring the protection of public health and safety due to the current situation brought about by the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, organizers of the annual Gulf Education and Training Exhibition (GETEX), have announced its decision to move the event from April 16 – 18, 2020 to March 25 – 27, 2021 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC).

The organisers of GETEX have also committed to host an abridged version of the Student Recruitment event on 11th and 12th June this year to help Schools and Universities in their student enrollment drive for their respective September 2020 intake. This bespoke event will also be held at the Dubai International Convention Centre during the time when the recruitment of students is at its peak.

GETEX will return in its original format next year with more exciting features that have been designed to further promote student engagement and will include initiatives that are aimed at setting the tone for interaction between leaders of secondary and tertiary education institutions, to benefit a broader spectrum of youth development.

November 14, 2018 – The Autumn edition of the Gulf Education and Training Exhibition (GETEX) returns to Dubai presenting over 300 academic and occupational courses before Emirati and expat students and professionals who are actively looking for higher education, professional development, and training options. The exhibition, which opened today (Wednesday, November 14, 2018), will run over the weekend until November 16th at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, specifically for families and working professionals.

GETEX Spring 2013, which marks the 25th silver jubilee edition of the event, will run from April 17 to 19, 2013 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, gathering more than 35,000 visitors from all over the region. GETEX 2012 to host ‘Global EdTech Forum’ for educators to access latest tools, skills and technology in education delivery

Global EdTech Forum designed to complement sustained growth of UAE’s USD 7.31 billion education sector.

GETEX 2012 has announced that it has prepared a comprehensive presentation by international professionals on the effective use of the latest tools, skills and technology to enhance the teaching and learning experience. The presentation forms the basis of the Middle East’s most comprehensive education & training event and is titled, the Global EdTech Forum – The Teachers’ Conference. The conference focuses on educators and school leaders for all levels of education across the GCC. The event is part and parcel of GETEX 2012 will take place from 19thto 21st April 2012 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

With an estimated market size in surplus of USD 7.31 billion, the education supply sector is one of the key industries in the UAE as it accounts for approximately 24 per cent of the total government expenditure.
