The award aims to recognise best practices in energy efficiency to enhance constructive contribution to a sustainable future

 Amman, Jordan, 27th November 2018 – Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy (DSCE) unveiled the fourth edition of Emirates Energy Award (EEA) – 2020 at a press conference held at Fairmont – Amman, Jordan on 27th November. The DSCE’s move comes as part of its goals and promotion plans.

Juventus Legend & Cup Tour in the UAE with Edgar Davids

UAE, November 19, 2018 – The Italian football giant Juventus’ GCC Legend Tour started in Ras Al Khaimah and will take place in Dubai and Abu Dhabi with the Legend Edgar Davids and the Cup of the Italian League, which Juventus has won for the seventh year in a row.

The academy for players from 4 to 17 years old kicked off last September in nine locations across UAE and will host over 1000 players by the end of the sports season. Last April the project won the award as best football Academy at the UAE Teen & Fitness Awards.

HBMSU Board of Governors

reaffirms commitment to envision the future during first regular meeting

UAE, 18 November 2018 – H.E Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chairman of Police and General Security in Dubai and Chairman of Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University’s (HBMSU) Board of Governors (BOG), chaired the first meeting of the board for the Academic Year 2018-2019. During the meeting, H.E. and the members of the board of governors extended their congratulations to H.H Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of Dubai Executive Council and HBMSU’s President, on its recent success of obtaining the approval of the Commission of Academic Accreditation Authority in the Ministry of Education to establish the first artificial intelligence (AI) college in the UAE.

 UAE, November 11, 2018 – The third China-UAE conference on Islamic Banking and Finance (CUCIBF III) concluded recently, with the participation of leading economic experts, bankers, decision and policy makers, investors and Islamic economic stakeholders, who hailed Dubai’s great strides in becoming a global capital of the Islamic economy. UNESCO renews Dr. Mansoor Al Awar’s chairmanship

of the Governing Board of Institute for Information Technologies in Education (IITE)

UAE, 03 November 2018 – UNESCO has issued a decision to renew the chairmanship of Dr. Mansoor Al Awar, Chancellor of Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU), to the Governing Board of the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education (IITE). The renewed term covers a period of four years and will end on 31 December 2021. Dr. Mansoor Al Awar was unanimously elected as Chairman of the Governing Board by members of the Council in 2014.
